Pretty Screenshots and Unexpected Life Turns

Last night I opened up my email…and found an e-ARC of Masks and Shadows waiting for me! And eee, just look at how pretty these screenshots are:

The title page:

And of course the dedication…

This is all getting so real! 🙂 The e-ARCs are going to be available for reviewers on Edelweiss sometime in the next few weeks, and the hard-copy ARCs should be available soon, too, so if you’re a reviewer with an active book-blog and you’re interested in getting an ARC, just let me know and I’ll pass your details on to my publicist.

But mostly: eeee! It’s really coming out into the world! (And it’ll be out for real in just over four months. Woooooot!)

Tomorrow I’m heading to London to meet with my new UK editor at Bloomsbury, to go through her editorial notes for my next MG book, The Dragon with a Chocolate Heart, and I’ll be bringing along my notebook so that during the train journey I can scribble more of that book’s contracted sequel, tentatively titled The Storyteller’s Secret – my MG spies-and-fairies book!

I’m also remembering this time last year, when I hadn’t sold any of these books yet.

Wow. Life can turn around in really beautiful ways. And I am feeling very, very lucky right now.
