Oof. Our big house-move begins tomorrow (it will be a multi-day process!), and the phone line in our house won’t start working until over a week later, so I will be offline (and frantically packing/cleaning/unpacking/panicking!) for the next little while. In other words: if you send me a message over the next week and a half and I don’t reply, please be patient with me!
I’m really happy about this house-move, though. I can’t wait to be living in the new house. And! Yesterday I managed to finish my first (and most intense) editing pass through Congress of Secrets. Hooray! Right now I’m feeling really good about how the first edits went, and I’ll be polishing the book up even more over the next two weeks before its deadline.
I’ve also done more playing with the Pinterest board for CoS, because collages are always good for putting me in the mood of a story – and, of course, it’s always fun to do something that counts as PRODUCTIVE procrastination! If you want to get a sense of the mood, too, you can check out the board here. (Viennese romantic adventure with dark magic and political shenanigans, ahoy!) (Or is that a bit long for a tagline? 😉 )
And! Masks and Shadows comes out just three weeks from tomorrow. Yay! (And eep!) I can’t wait to share this book with you guys, and I really hope that you’ll enjoy it. I just packaged up the last 2 signed ARCs to send to the winners of the Book Smugglers giveaway, and now I’m waiting for it to be published so everyone else can read it too!
There are a lot of things to be done before the move begins tomorrow. There is a LOT of stuff happening this month. And honestly, there are times when I just want to pull the covers over my head until all the stressful bits are over. (Could I just sleep through the whole house-move? No?)
Overall, though, this is all really good.
